New Generation of „RNK®“ Moulders of High Technological Performance

Rotary Moulding is one of the most well-known traditional method of giving shape to biscuit doughs with higher sugar and fat content.

The principle of forming with moulding rollers is beeing used for several decades and there are a number of reliable suppliers of dough forming equipment available on the world market.

Nevertheless the market demands have been changed. Today other criteria are stepping into focus, such as high moulding precision, constant weight, flexibility in adapting to different and new formulas, quick product change-over by changing of the moulding rollers, short belt change and cleaning time, low maintenance demand as well as hygienic execution. These features need to be combined with a rugged design of modern hygienic materials.

TECON has studied these demands together with the users and developed a new generation of rotary moulding machines with innovative features, respecting the a.m. criteria.

The new TECON RNK® rotary moulding machines type HL-GF can be applied for moulding of a wide range of different shapes and dough recipes. The machines are designed for the production of all types of rotary moulded biscuits, sandwich biscuits, spiced biscuits, gingerbread biscuits, digestifs, marzipan, etc.

Technical Features:

  • moulding rollers with application of specific materials for troublefree dough release, especially for handling of sticky doughs (gingerbread)

  • separate drives for individual speed adjustment of moulding roller, fluted roller and rubber pressing roller, driving the take-off demoulding web

  • individual speed adjustment enabling most accurate and safe demoulding of dough pieces, assuring constant weight under continuous 24h-production conditions

  • special executions with servo drive technology for applications with intermittant motion, i.e. for covering other products with moulded dough pieces

  • speed adjustable releasing shaft for tailless dough piece transfer from demoulding web onto following conveyor

  • all parameters for speed control programmable by PLC Siemens S7 in combination with operator touch panel and parameter memory

  • mechanically adjustable positioning of rollers with position indicators

  • scraper knife of special shape, individually adjustable, provided with visual indication

  • adjustable seals on lateral flanges of moulding roller and fluted roller, preventing dough leakage from hopper

  • fast and simple exchange of moulding rollers, without tools

  • hygienic execution, easy access for cleaning

  • extremely low maintenance demand by using direct drives without teethed or chain gears, encapsulated ball bearings for longlife lubrication, rugged frame structure of anodized Aluminium plates, all other parts of stainless steel, etc.

  • machine location on floor in front of baking conveyor, or on top of baking conveyor on oven infeed section

  • working widths 600, 800, 1000, 1200 or other

  • safety devices according to EC standard

  • wash-over attachment or salt-/sugar sprinkler

  • automatic dough feeding

  • jam dosing equipment in front of and after the oven

  • dosing, filling and sandwiching machines for fillings such as caramel, jam, nougat, cream, chocolate, etc.
